There’s no reason for AM to keep both the DB and the Vanquish, only to have one cannibalizing the other. It would also be something different for AM, and would give them a proper weapon against Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren.

Nah this minus the wing should be the next Vanquish.
Aston with their incredibly limited resources should stick to GT cars.

Also while we are discussing Aston Martin, here is what I think they should do.
Aston Martin:
2 seat sports car: Vantage replacement. Available with either the merc V8 or the Aston V12 minus the Turbos. Variants include: Roadster, Coupé and GT8/12.
GT car: DB11. Coupé and convertible.
SuperGT: A road legal Vulcan. With the massive 800 HP V12 to go up against the F12.
Then have Lagonda handle the more sensible stuff so:
Rapide replacement: 4 door DB11.
SUV/DBX thing.
Then a Rolls Royce competitor in the form of a more widely available Taraf. Change the name to something significantly more British like Nigel.
Also all the Lagonda cars should have electric variants to help with emissions.

I agree - something more elegant and refined than the shouty mid-engined cars (Ferrari, Lambo) ... it would sell for sure.

GT cars can’t be mid-engine? I like the idea of a mid-engine AM...

Depends on your definition. My definition has a focus on space for people and stuff. So front engined it is.

You can a lot with limited resources, when you have friends like Mercedes.
